9:00 Friday morning. I wake up and notice how totally fine I feel. I'm not starving. I’m not even miserable. Wow. My boyfriend has a day off and gets to sleep in. I'm not such a sleepyhead so I always use these mornings for one or two big mugs of coffee (at least since we've had that cool new coffee machine) and a big breakfast before my bf wakes up and has his muesli with me (he is not the breakfast kind of person). So this morning is a bit hard in that way, I woke up with a lot of energy but in the want of a proper breakfast. I'm almost trying to cheat to at least have the coffee but I won't. It's already day three. Most detoxes take three days so I'll still live through this one day at least! Furthermore I'm not even hungry. It's the fact that I'm used to big breakies which makes it hard for me, nothing else. But I can do this!
P.S.: I googled why I can't have coffee during the cleanse and came up with this: "One of the primary purposes of a cleanse is to give your body a break from many of its daily duties of processing the components within the foods and drinks we ingest to help “clean out” or encourage increased and natural detoxification with vegetables. Caffeine is a substance that is metabolized by our liver by a process that includes oxidation. This means that our liver must perform work to safely package and remove caffeine’s compounds from our bodies. Ingesting caffeine will give your body more work to do and could therefore hinder or lessen the overall effectiveness of the Reboot."
20:00 Today was the best of all days looking at my energy levels. I was energized and didn't feel hungry even though I didn't eat. Only my workout around five was a huge disappointment. I didn't manage anything. Ten crunches and I collapsed. The cleanse has been going well so far and I've felt cleansed but after the workout I needed my next banana because I barely couldn't walk anymore, and I've decided to slowly reintroduce food tomorrow. Most cleanses take only three, not four, days and many of them (even the one I'm doing!) accept raw fruit and veggies along with the juices, so I'll bring those back tomorrow. I've already bought all the ingrediences for a morning smoothie, an Asian salad at noon and carrot and cucumber sticks for the night. Right now I'm well fed thanks to the banana but I can't wait for tomorrow.
