I love tea as you know. And I love superfoods. So these teas sound to be perfect for me! These Superfood Teas are made using only the best organic ingredients, such as organic cacao, organic rooibos etc. And they're all so sweet and yum to satisfy your sweet cravings. Perfect right? Oh yes, they are.
I was sent three kinds of superfood teas (I got to choose them): japanese matcha green tea, sugar teatox and guilt free choc tea. The last two are based on rooibos tea and yerba mate tea. Yerba Mate is praised for having almost as much caffeine as coffee, but with the feel good chemicals of tea and coffee as well. It is high in antioxidants, contains 24 vitamins and minerals, and 15 amino acids. Yerba mate isn't acidic like coffee and is much lower in tannins than tea, so people find it less bitter and more enjoyable to drink - BUT note that this might not be the best good night tea if you react to caffeine? I love my black tea with milk at nights but not everyone can sleep after that!
Japanese Matcha Green Tea: This one os made of what the name is: organic japanese matcha. Matcha known for being high in antioxidants and increasing energy levels and endurance and for boosting memory and concentration. It's bright green, not exactly delicious but perfect before exams or important meetings when you need to be perfectly on track!
Sugar Teatox: This one. Is. So. Good. It's sweet, spice, all things nice. It kicks your sugar cravins and detoxes - so perfect! I had it very often as dessert after lunch so I wouldn't crave any other treat. Tihs one is made of oolong tea, gymnema slyvestre leves, cinnamon, orange peel, maca, liquorice and yerba mate tea (all organic). Cinnamon, maca and liquorice SAY WHAT! All my favourite things in the world whoop whoop! Cinnamon I often add to my tea, coffee or on bananas to reduce sugar cravings so I know it really works! And this tea is just so delicious.... the only thing I don't get is the little tea leaves I always have my mouth full of. Maybe my tea stainer has too big holes? Anyways. Yummy.
Guilt Free Choc Tea: This on is actually organic cacao tea with a secret ingredient (drumroll...) PEPPERMINT! Which makes it taste a bit like After Eights (especially the aftertaste is chocolatey)... super elegant that is! And besides the organic superfood cacao this one also contains lucuma, a superfood tasting much of caramel. I recommend some nut milk with it! The tea is based on rooibos and yerba mate teas, again I wonder a bit about the pieces of rooibos in my mouth whilst drinking but oh well.
