A few days ago I received a package that made me the happiest girl on earth - a box of Rebel Kitchen Mylks! I'll be honest - I ADORE these mylks. I've been jealous of everyone on instagram who got to try them, because 1) they sound so delicious and 2) THEY ARE SO SUPER CUTE! As an aspiring graphic designer there is nothing better in my eyes than cool design and these boxes are beyond amazing! Just look at the logo! And the children's mylks are so sassy I'll die! Ok, I'll stop babbling now because I have to come to the more important part which is not the boxes, but the filling - the spiced coconut mylks. For everyone who doesn't know what mylk is (why an y?), it's plant-based milk and the "y" is there to show that we're not talking about normal milk (cool idea right?). Rebel Kitchen Mylks are basically made of coconut milk, water and date purree. All the ingredients are natural and nutritious and 100% good for you. That's what Rebel Kitchen's mission is too -
- Make nutritious delicious
- Fight refined sugar
- Bring back freshly made food
- Get high on whole foods
- Rebel against preservatives and additives
At Rebel Kitchen there are three mylk flavours available in the adult collection (Chai, Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea) which come in 330ml cartons, and three in the children's mylk collection (Banana, Orange Chocolate and Chocolate) which come in 200ml cartons. The kids' mylks are one of the reasons why I still like to be a child sometimes - the boxes rock (all of them even have different slogans and everything!) and they are soooo yummaaayyy! But if I had little children this would exactly be what I'd buy them - delicious, sweet, but yet healthy (even though they don't taste healthy) and nutritious containing no bad chemicals or sugar. For instance the banana one contains real banana and no banana flavouring or aroma. The cacao is used in its purest and simplest form which is not prossessed but still full of antioxidants. You can find out more about the nutritiens here.
And then the base - coconuts - are super duper healthy too. They are highly nutritious and rich in fibre, vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6 and minerals including iron, selenium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorous.

All the drinks are amazing snacks or can be used in cooking or baking - like I did in my gingerbread pancakes! And there are many more recipes to come, promise!
To sum it up - I am a huge fan of these mylks. Nothing could top the ingredients, taste or design. So you'd better order a huge batch of them - either from their homepage if you live in the UK or from Real Foods for international shipping! I'd suggest the taster bag or my favourite - the Chai Mylk. It's perfect for the christmas season too ; )
So now better hop over to Rebel Kitchen's cool homepage, facebook page or instagram account!
